In 1839, Alexander Matheson set out to find the ideal location for his new distillery with one goal in mind: to create the finest whisky using only the best natural resources. He eventually settled on a secluded spot on the banks of the Cromarty Firth, which would become the birthplace of The Dalmore.
The Dalmore prides itself on using uniquely shaped stills, believing that their irregular shape results in a more robust and complex character to their whiskies. Their spirits boast a deep copper hue and are infused with notes of crushed almonds, cinnamon, ginger, and citrus.
