Old Potrero Single Malt Straight Rye Whiskey 750ml

This single malt is made entirely from malted rye and aged in oak barrels that are crafted by hand and charred. The barrels are made using a traditional technique, in which the cooper heats the staves using oak chips, allowing them to bend and form the barrel. The charring process toasts the inner part of the barrel, which imparts rich tones and unique characteristics to the final spirit. This straight rye whiskey is aged in new, handmade charred oak barrels, and the coopers learned in the early 19th century that if they allowed the heat to continue burning, the inside of the barrel would burst into flames and become charred.
