El Recuerdo Reposado Mezcal is a Limited Edition production commemorating the July, 2009 UFC fight where Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal clocked the fastest knockout in UFC history. As both a welterweight mixed martial artist and a shareholder of Recuerdo Mezcal, his five second knock-out went down in history and was certainly cause for celebration.

KO Limited Edition Reposado is crafted using hand-selected agave, 5 maguey, and cooked over river rocks sourced from the high elevations of Oaxacas central valley and pine and oak woods. The wood is ethically and environmentally sourced under the jurisdiction of the Mexican ministry of environmental protection.

The mezcal is then aged for 5 months in new American oak barrels. The aroma is smooth and herbal, with notes of citrus, cocoa, vanilla, wood, and the distinct scent of the 5 maguey worm varieties. The palette offers notes of cooked agave, toasted oak, and a subtle acidic salinity. This bright golden Mezcal was only produced with 5,000 bottles, with each being hand numbered.
