The Old Ballantruan 15 Years Old comes from the renowned Tomintoul Distillery, picturesquely situated in the Glenlivet Estate in the Speyside region of Scotland. This distillery is characterized by its deep commitment to traditional methods of whisky production and skilfully combines the use of classic copper stills with state-of-the-art distillation technologies.

As a peated malt whisky, the Old Ballantruan 15 Years Old uses barley that has been dried using peat smoke. Peat, a historically important fuel in Scotland, imparts phenolic compounds to the barley during the drying process. These are responsible for the characteristic smoky and earthy taste of the whisky. The maturation of the Old Ballantruan for 15 years in selected oak casks also contributes to the development of its complex aroma.

This whisky is also bottled without chill-filtration, which preserves its intensity of flavor and authenticity.
