Macallan A Night On Earth 2022 is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Macallan distillery and the second edition in the A Night on Earth series. This whisky is a tribute to the Scottish New Year’s Eve celebration, known as Hogmanay, and was created in collaboration with illustrator Erica Dorn.

This whisky is produced in various casks at the distillery, which are intended to evoke the typical Scottish treats on New Year’s Eve. The whisky is matured in a combination of first fill American ex-bourbon barrels as well as European and American sherry casks.

The multi-layered gift box features Erica Dorn’s bespoke abstract designs and the colors express the story of New Year’s Eve.

Red symbolizes the fire lit by the traditional Scottish first toast with coal, as well as the luck, success, joy and vitality associated with this celebration. The blue inside shows the night sky of Hogmanay (New Year’s Eve) and the blue of the Scottish national flag. A rich amber hue when the gift box is opened symbolizes Scottish shortbread. This is a rich, sweet pastry that is enjoyed on Hogmanay and is also found in the flavors of the whisky.
