The Edradour Distillery, founded in 1825, is one of the oldest distilleries still in operation in Scotland. It is picturesquely situated near Pitlochry in Perthshire and is affectionately known as “Scotland’s Little Gem” due to its manageable size. Despite its small size, with just three active stills, Edradour is relentlessly committed to traditional whisky-making methods. These tried and tested techniques play a key role in shaping the unique and characteristic taste of their whisky.

Distilled in 2012 and matured exclusively in first-fill Madeira hogsheads, this spirit is a connoisseur’s choice. This special bottling comes from a carefully selected series of ten casks, namely cask numbers 110 to 119. It was bottled on February 29, 2024 and only a limited number of 3,987 bottles were produced, making it a valuable collector’s item.

The absence of artificial colouring in this bottling emphasizes the authenticity and naturalness of the whisky. The color of the whisky, which is exclusively the result of the influence of Madeira wood during the maturation period, testifies to the quality and special treatment that this spirit has received.
