2022 Daniel Vollenweider Riesling Wolfer Goldgrube Spatlese Feinherb AP 6, Mosel, Germany

The 2022er Goldgrube Riesling Sptlese AP 6 was made from fruit harvested at 91 Oechsle on very old un-grafted vines in the Portz sector of the vineyard, a south-west facing and higher up the hill vineyard and was fermented down to sweet levels of residual sugar. This hay-yellow-colored wine offers a beautiful nose made of whipped cream, pear, mirabelle, starfruit, ginger, bergamot, and smoke. The wine proves hugely playful, delicate, and hugely multi-layered on the palate and leaves a gorgeously crisp and beautifully mouthwatering feel in the long finish.
