Noyau de Poissy Blanc Liqueur 700mL

It seems that the Noyau de Poissy was already very popular at the end of the 17th century, especially during the famous cattle markets of the city.

The Seine valley was long renowned for the many orchards of apricot, blackthorn and cherry trees, grown on its well-exposed hillsides.

The stones of these fruits have in common the particularity of having very aromatic almonds.

Also, the idea came quite early no doubt, to extract the aromas by macerating them in brandies or marcs produced locally.

These first liqueurs, known as ratafia, were very popular for a long time.The Noyau de Poissy bears witness to this, its seniority making it the oldest of secular liqueurs.

In 1826, Alexandre Delporte, owner at the time, received a Silver Goblet from the hands of the Duchess of Berry, daughter-in-law of King Charles X, in recognition of the quality of his production.

This royal emblem will now appear on labels and advertisements.
