From the Seewinkel region of Burgenland, Velich’s Darscho Chardonnay is a testament to the unique microclimate shaped by the area’s salt lakes. A masterclass in balance and restraint, showcasing the unique terroir of Burgenland’s Seewinkel region. Sourced from vines aged between 20 and 45 years, the grapes are hand-harvested at full ripeness. Post-harvest, the whole clusters undergo a gentle pressing, followed by spontaneous fermentation in used oak barrels. The wine then matures on its full lees for approximately two years without btonnage, allowing it to develop complexity and depth while maintaining freshness
