2022 Fumey Chatelain Arbois Trousseau VV, Jura, France

The 2020 Le Bastard Trousseau was produced with the old Trousseau la Dame grapes planted 16 years ago on land that had Savagnin before in two lieux-dits, Aux Loges and Aux Barbi, on marl soils. It fermented with 55% full clusters and had a 20-day maceration. It is super perfumed and expressive, with lots of finesse, like a Grenache, floral, fine-boned and elegant. A unique Trousseau from Jura. I tasted the 2022 from foudre, and it was also great, but the 2021 is too scarce 2,500 bottles produced. – Luis Gutierrez
