Angel’S Envy Kentucky Bourbon (750Ml)

Angel’s Envy is the culmination of 200 years oftop bourbon tradition in combination with an independent master craftsman. In addition to a high degree of tasting and close selection of every batch, Angel’s Envy is finished in painstakingly hand-selected finishing barrels. This award-winning Kentucky straight good bourbon for a gift is finished in port wine barrels for a length determined by our master craftsman – typically around 6 years. This is what gives each bottle of Angels Envy an unequivocal smoothness, sweetness, and balance. Its appearance is a deep gold with coppery, amber hues. On the nose are hints of vanilla, raisin, maple syrup, and toasted nuts. The palate and body are comprised of vanilla, ripe fruit, maple, toast, and bitter cacao. The finish is clean, sweet, and lingering with a hint Madeira wine thatll leave a lasting impression.

During the production process a blended mash is used as the base for the whiskey comprised of 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley. The final product is 86.6 proof, or 43.3% alcohol by volume. A straight bourbon must be aged for at least 2 years (note: if its aged less than 4 years, it must be labeled as such) but we choose to age ours for anywhere between 4 to 6 years depending on the intended flavor profile. The cask aging process lasts for up to an additional 6 months to ensure that signature Angels Envy flavor.

Inspired by the lifetime work of legendary distiller Lincoln Henderson, inductee into the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame, Angels Envy was started and continues to be a family endeavor. Lincoln came out of retirement to create Angels Envy as a collaboration with his son, Wes, as they both sought to create a new and innovative bourbon. Since his passing in 2013, his son Wes continues to live on the family name, realizing someone of Lincolns never-fully-realized projects and recipes. Today, Wes heads the Louisville Distilling Company, a subsidiary of Bacardi Limited, with his two sons Kyle and Andrew.
