This whiskey matures in 2 different types of casks: ex-bourbon casks and Virgin Oak casks. The Benriach Malting Season is distilled with the barley variety Concerto. The barley is dipped in water and spread out on the malting floor. For several days, this is turned by hand to achieve perfect germination of the barley.
