The monks came to the Slovakian mountains in the Middle Ages to pass on education. Based on the old documents from the monastery, which was built in 1314, the forerunner of this extraordinary drink was created then. The monks already knew a lot about what body and mind need and which herbs to use. They took everything that the surrounding nature provided and created this liqueur.
The recipe was very well kept secret among the villages of the Tatras.
