In 2015, Australian entrepreneur David Prior acquired the business and began a renovation of the distillery. After 2 years of work under the direction of Master Distiller Ian MacMillan, whiskey production was restarted. In 2017, Bladnoch celebrated its 203rd anniversary, making it one of the oldest and largest privately owned Scotch whisky distilleries.
Bladnoch’s Classic Collection expands with the fourth release, “Liora.” “Liora” means “the gift of light” in Hebrew.
The whisky matures in ex-bourbon casks and fresh virgin oak casks.
The bottling is at cask strength, without chill filtration and with natural color.
