Bushmills 16 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey 750ml

This soon-to-be classic Irish malt undergoes a unique maturation process, aging in a combination of Oloroso and Bourbon casks before being finished in port wine barrels for several months. The result is a distinctive flavor profile that is rich with notes of fruit, nuts, and spice.

At the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, this Bushmills single malt received a Gold in 2012 and a Double Gold in 2013. The Bushmills Distillery, located in Bushmills, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, is responsible for producing all of the whiskey bottled under the Bushmills brand. The distillery uses water drawn from Saint Columb’s Rill, a tributary of the River Bush. As of December 2014, the distillery was in the process of transitioning from ownership by Diageo plc to Jose Cuervo.
