Unique because it is aged for at least sixteen years in three different types of casks – Bourbon, Oloroso Sherry and then in Port wine casks.
From the casks that originally contained American bourbon, the whiskey takes on an aroma of almond and honey. The Oloroso Sherry casks, on the other hand, give it balance and smoothness.
The final maturation in port casks gives it its ruby red colour and a persistent sweetish taste. The result is a complex and fascinating whiskey for the demanding connoisseur.
