Owned since 2002 by Andrew Symington, the founder of Signatory, Edradour has expanded its range to include new bottlings, including the peaty malts under the Ballechin name.
Signatory founder Andrew Symington works closely with the South Tyrolean winery St. Michael-Eppan, which has resulted in a fascinating series of single cask bottlings from red wine casks. In this particular case, two twin Sauvignon barrels were used for pre-fining, giving the whisky unique aromas and character traits.
This collaboration between Signatory and St. Michael-Eppan impressively demonstrates how innovative partnerships and careful cask selection can result in exceptional whiskies full of character.
