This rich, supple Cognac is a liquid expression of a vintage leather club chair. The nut-brown spirit has big aromas of crme brle, toffee, cigar tobacco and cocoa. After an initial sweetness on the tongue, it finishes relatively dry with lingering caramel, raisin, leather and orange peel flavors, and a bracing alcohol bite.

One of the oldest and most traditional Cognac houses in France has recently had a more modern makeover and the results are stunning. The Hine Rare VSOP brings the finesse and the tradition of top-quality Grand Champagne Cognac, but with less caramel and more pure fruit flavor. The VSOP is soft and supple with flavors of stonefruit, vanilla, and perfectly integrated oak, but with a restraint that never comes close to sweet.
