Kingsbarns Distillery is located in the heart of Scotland’s breadbasket, the Kingdom of Fife, and is owner-managed by the Wemyss family, who have already established themselves in the whisky world as independent bottlers.

Kingsbarns Doocot whisky is a tribute to one of the distillery’s most striking architectural features. A doocot is a structure for housing pigeons, often placed on a pole or against a wall and containing compartments where the birds can roost and lay eggs. The tribute is freestanding, with Adam-style battlements and Gothic detailing.

This whisky is made from barley grown and harvested within less than 10 kilometers of the distillery. It is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and ex-Portuguese red wine casks.
