The Scottish Wemyss family has a deep-rooted passion for whisky that dates back to the early 19th century when John Haig, the founder of Haig’s Whisky, built his first distillery on the family’s land. William and Isabella Wemyss, the brother and sister team behind the Kingsbarns distillery, are not only firmly rooted in the region, but have also established themselves as independent bottlers of single casks and blended malts.

As master blender Isabella Wemyss selected the best casks from the first vintages for Alba Import, the single cask bottlings have shown that the exotic, fruity Kingsbarns distillate is very popular in combination with cask strength and first fill bourbon casks.

With their commitment and dedication, the Wemyss family are setting new standards in the whisky world and, with the Kingsbarns distillery, are producing distinctive, high-quality spirits that combine both tradition and innovation.
