Named after the Gaelic word for “tradition”, this whisky combines the knowledge and craftsmanship of several generations of master blenders. Its complex aroma is created by maturing in five different types of casks, which create a harmonious balance between peat smoke, sweetness and spice.
The use of quarter casks from the 19th century gives the Laphroaig Lore a velvety texture and intense depth. Oloroso sherry butts give it a fruity sweetness, while ex-bourbon casks add a fine vanilla note. The combination of whiskies aged between seven and 21 years ensures impressive complexity – from strong and smoky to elegant and smooth. The result is a complex Islay whisky that combines the typical peatiness of Laphroaig with a rich flavor structure.
