Inchmoan 12 Years Old is a blend of malt whiskies distilled in two different types of stills: traditional swan-neck pot stills and straight-neck pot stills. This combination aims to produce a whisky with a pronounced peat character that also has characteristics of smoke and spice.
The whisky is matured over a period of 12 years in two types of casks: newly charred American oak casks and refill American bourbon casks. These casks impart sweet vanilla notes to the whisky, complementing the unique peat style for which Loch Lomond Distillery is renowned.
