Former Laphroaig Distillery Manager John Campbell runs the family business. The Scottish poet, Robert Burns, lived on the farm from 1777 to 1784 and managed it.
The barley for production is grown and harvested in-house. The water is drawn from limestone springs deep below the distillery. This enables complete traceability from the field to the bottle.
Lochlea Harvest Edition (Second Crop) is the second bottling of the Harvest Edition. The marriage of port casks, first-fill bourbon casks and STR barriques creates a taste experience that is second to none. Particularly noteworthy is the significantly increased proportion of port casks, which gives the whisky an incomparable creaminess.
