Meet the Maker: Las Pedreras’ Brbara Requejo Frutos

From our first taste in 2021, we knew there was something special happening here.

Winemakers/growers Brbara Requejo Frutos and her partner Guzmn de la Parra are the first winery in Villanueva de vila, a remote mountain village that falls under Spain’s (new-ish DO!) Gredos, just west of Madrid.

Here (in perhaps the highest site for Grenache, anywhere) Garnacha gets the ultimate high elevation combination of elegance and power; and, for Brbara and Guzmn, a clarity of fruit that makes the wine irresistible.

Brbara will be joining us and talking about what makes Gredos so incredibly special, as we work our way through her breathtaking lineup.

All experience levels are welcome (you just need to be 21+)! Please no gum, mints, or strong perfumes.

E-tickets will be delivered via email. All tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to a friend or family member (life happens, we get it!).
