Nikka From the Barrel Double Matured Blended Whisky 51,4% Vol. 0,5l in Giftbox

Nikka from the Barrel Whisky is produced on Hokkaido, the northern island of Japan, by Yoichi Distillery.

Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of NIKKA whisky, sought the best conditions for his first distillery. YOICHI distillery was founded in 1934 in the small coastal town with the same name. This place is known for its cold climate with adequate humidity, fresh clean air and fresh water. The distillation process is still carried out in the distillery using traditional old methods. The stills are heated by direct coal fire, which brings out the roasted notes intensely.

For this whisky, two Nikka single malts, the Miyagikyo and Yoichi, and a single grain whisky are blended. The whiskey matures in bourbon as well as sherry casks.
