After Nikka’s 21 year old whisky won “World’s Best Blended Malt” for 2010 (remember this is a blended single malt, not a blended whisky — meaning there’s no grain whisky added), we were flooded with emails from customers wondering where they could get it. “You can’t” we were forced to say, “unless you’re willing to travel out of the country.” Three years later we’re finally sitting on our own supply at K&L! The complexity of spice and nuance on the palate of the 21 year is incredible — rich, round fruit, cocoa, exotic spices, and even a hint of soy sauce — and the finish goes on forever. This is not something we anticipate being able to keep in stock regularly given both the pent up demand and the quality.
