Since its foundation in 1793, the picturesque location and proximity to the port in the west of the Scottish Highlands have made the Oban Distillery a magnet for new settlers. Oban, which means “little bay” in Gaelic, has developed into one of the most respected and efficient distilleries despite initial challenges. With just two stills, Oban produces up to 700,000 liters of alcohol annually, making it one of the smallest distilleries in the world, a testament to its excellence and tradition in whisky production.

The Oban Bay Reserve is part of the Game of Thrones Single Malt Collection from DIAGEO. Following the special edition Johnnie Walker White Label, Diageo presents a Single Malt Collection. The single malts from various distilleries bear the names of the seven royal houses of the well-known series “Game of Thrones” and Oban Bay is dedicated to the setting of the series.
