Summer Passport: Central Europe

There’s some serious energy happening east of the Alps. Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, the Czech Republic; once afterthoughts on traditional wine maps, these places are now an epicenter of fascinating (and extremely delicious) natural wine.

Here, an inspired set of winemakers (perhaps Tschida, Strohmeier, Nestarec ring a bell?) are pushing forward quality farming and new styles of experimental wines all while embracing the traditionally-styled wines that have made this place so special for centuries.

We’ll explore the region’s rich history, using several of the its visionary natural winemakers as guideposts. And our tour guide is one of NYC’s great wine veterans, Phil Sareil (of Jenny & Franois Selections), whose work has played a significant role in introducing Central European wine to our city and beyond.

All experience levels are welcome (you just need to be 21+)! Please no gum, mints, or strong perfumes.

E-tickets will be delivered via email. All tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to a friend or family member (life happens, we get it!).
