Why the name Waterproof?

– Water, because it is essential for whisky production.

– Proof because it is the old scale for measuring alcohol strength (in 1980 British Proof Spirit was changed to alcohol percent).

Waterproof whisky is like decent outdoor clothing, both can withstand water without any problems.

This sherry-influenced malt whisky is bottled at a relatively high % alcohol by volume; its design harks back to the Scottish inventor of the raincoat, Charles Macintosh.

A pure malt whisky blended from whiskies from top distilleries (will not be disclosed). In addition to maturation in traditional oak, sherry casks are also used to create this sherry bomb of balanced character.

The Waterproof whiskies are true batch bottlings, so there may be small variations in character in the future as each batch adds a touch of personality.

However, all future batches will be bottled with malt whiskies from premium distilleries and with a sherry influence, as well as at higher vol.%.
